Exciting news from the team at Finca Cortesin. The hosts of the 2023 Solheim Cup have further strengthened their commitment to the future of womens golf by announcing sponsorship deals with two talented players on the Ladies European Tour (LET).
Noemi Jimenez ,a home grown talent who learned golf at the Costa del Sols much loved Guadalmina Golf has been sponsored by Finca Cortesin for 5 years and has secured their support in 2021. Laura Gomez from San Pedro also learned the game at Guadalmina is the second player to benefit from the support offered by Finca Cortesin.
It is wonderful to see our local girls having a successful career in international tournament golf and it is especially good to see that the Costa del Sol’s premier golf resort is behind them. Bravo Finca Cortesin.
Noemi said: “It’s a tremendous privilege for me to represent one of the best golf resorts in the world. Finca Cortesin shares my passion for increasing the popularity of women’s golf and raising its worldwide profile, and no one was happier than me when they were awarded the 2023 Solheim Cup.”
Laura commented: “To receive the backing of a resort as prestigious as Finca Cortesin is a great personal honour for me and will be a major help in achieving my ambition of becoming an established member on the Ladies European Tour.”

To those ends Finca Cortesin is staging an event on Global Womens’ Golf Day at the beginning of June 2021. Aimed at players of all standards with the objective of bringing more people into golf here on the Costa del Sol. Finca Cortesin’s golf ambassadors Noemi and Laura will be the star attractions hosting the event. I for one cannot wait to attend!
Spain will be the 6th nation to host the Solheim Cup in 2023 and will further cement Finca Cortesin’s position amongst the finest golf resorts and facilities in the world.
