Atalaya Golf and Country Club is amongst the oldest golf courses on Costa del Sol dating back to 1968. The Old Course designed by the highly respected German architect Bernard von Limburger is a genuinely lovely golf course. With generous rolling greens, welcoming immaculate fairways and playing as long as 6200m from the white tees, the Old Course is a fair and challenging test for all golfers.
The New Course is totally different in character. Shorter and with much tighter fairways accuracy from the tee is a premium. The views from the high points on the New Course more than make up for some of the more tricky holes.
The New Course is ideal for shorter and straighter hitters. it is not a long course, however it is very tricky and needs all of your attention.

Azata Golf is the newest golf club to open along the Costa del Sol and it is a cracker! Whilst not a long course it presents a tough but fair challenge. A golf course which will reward those risk takers that execute the demanding shots well. Equally, a great score can be built by playing safe and keeping the ball on the fairway.
The clubhouse is modern, a lovely terrace gives a great view across the golf course.
Azata Golf is a satisfying experience.

Overview
This super nine hole course is so good that it frequently plays host to the Marbella Tour, a weekly event for professional golfers on Costa del Sol. The greens are small and well contoured and require your full concentration. The fairways are generous enough and the condition of the playing surfaces are flawless.
This is outstanding value and offers a deeply pleasing resort golf experience.

Dona Julia Golf was designed by Antonio Garcia Garrido and opened in 2005. At just over 5600m this parkland golf course is well laid out and provides a tough test. My favorite hole is the par3 18th. This hole could feature as the closing hole for any major golf tournament and provide thrills and excitement in abundance!
The course is perfect for social golf as you will see from the many smiling faces in the 19th!

El Paraiso Golf Club is one of the most popular golf golf courses along Costa del Sol welcoming golfers for almost 50 years!
With the 50th anniversary celebrations in 2022 a great deal of investment has been made into making the golf course and its facilities pristine. With 18 new greens and a dedicated greenkeeping team the course is in tremendous condition and is a delight to play.
The clubhouse is a large ranch style clubhouse recently renovated. The food and service are excellent.

Guadalmina Golf is one of the nicest golf clubs anywhere along Costa del Sol. A strong membership means the clubhouse is always busy creating a superb atmosphere. The South Course runs from the clubhouse towards the sea giving wonderful sea views around the 10th and 11th hole. The South course is an absolute charmer!
The North Course is slightly shorter than the South and asks for accuracy over distance. This too is a beautifully maintained and manicured parkland course that compliments its big brother very well.
Guadalmina Golf also features an 18 hole par 3 course of 1470m! Absolute cracker. great fun and a sure fire way to improve your game or even resolve wagers!
Here’s one for you… When you are in the clubhouse take a moment to read the Honours Boards. You will see that the course record holder is none other than Jon Rahm, he shot 65 at the age of 12!!!!!

Similar to Guadalmina, Los Arqueros has a thriving and devoted membership which means the clubhouse is always buzzing and the ambience upbeat and positive.
Seve has a reputation for designing golf courses that only he can play! Los Arqueros shares that Ballesteros DNA! This is a tricky setup that requires a deft touch and good strategy. Without doubt you will lose a couple of balls, but equally you will have a great time!
The course is well presented and offers stunning views across the Mediterranean to Africa.

This is an outstanding Dave Thomas design with a very unusual layout consisting of three consecutive par five holes on the front nine. A great scoring opportunity you might think. Think again! This golf course is a delicious challenge. Whilst generous from the tee it is the shots into the green that are “make or break”. With plenty of water and cavernous bunkers the Marbella Club Golf course will bring the very best out of you.

Valle Romano is one of my favourite golf courses. If you can build a score around this amazing golf course then you have earned a beer in the wonderful clubhouse!
Had a most satisfying day!
There are two holes with that “Marmite factor”, the 3rd, a par four hole steeply downhill and the 10th a dog leg par 5 with a similar descent.
Each hole looks as though it was always there and that Cabell Robinson merely polished it to make it emerge from the natural terrain. Utilizing similar terrain and similar design techniques to its illustrious neighbour Finca Cortesin, Valle Romano is outstanding.

The Flamingos course is the oldest of the three courses and is carefully laid out in the valleys that run between the mountain slopes to produce a fabulous golf course.
Opened in 2008 The Alferini course is a magnificent beast. Close to 7300 yards in length from the back tees threading its way through the mountainous terrain this golf course is a leviathan that will humble all but the most gifted players.
The third course is The Tramores Course, an academy course that is designed to offer an executive golf experience or a place to train and hone your skills.
I can tell you emphatically that enjoying a cold beer on the terrace of the hotel having walked from the 18th green is one of those rare life affirming moments that needs to be experienced!

This is a friendly, well run and busy “Irish Pub”. Healy’s has a great view from its first floor location across the marina. Great “Pub food” and a perfect place to watch sports on the large televisions.
El Greek by Parviz
This is an absolute gem! The restaurant is run by experienced Greek restaurateurs which means the style of food and the flavours are authentic and stunning!
On the waters edge the terrace offers a wonderful ambience. The hospitality team are attentive and focused on making your experience first class. Gyros chicken is my personal favorite. The truth is that everything here is great!
